A wiki sandbox is a special page where you can experiment with wiki markup without having to worry about affecting an article. This wiki has a general Sandbox link in the support box in the left-hand panel, for everyone's use. You can also create your own personal sandbox by creating a subpage under your user page.

Navigate to your user page, click in your browser's URL box, then add a slash and word Sandbox. Press enter.

For example: User:Doug/Sandbox

You'll be prompted to create a new page.
