Renewable Energy Coming To Ontario Schools
This fall, 126 Ontario schools will begin using cleaner and renewable sources of power, like solar, wind and geothermal, creating cleaner and more sustainable places to learn for Ontario students.

Humber Community Employment Services launched their new website in March. The new website includes listings of Humber workshop times and locations as well as job postings and more.

New Helpline Connects Employers with Immigrant Employment Services
The new free Immigrant Talent Employer Helpline assists employers by assessing business and talent needs; providing a streamlined overview of relevant organizations, programs and resources; and providing referrals and specific contact information.

Updated Discover Canada Citizenship Study Guide Now Available
The Discover Canada update contains everything from the previous version and more. The changes are about common Canadian values such as freedom, democracy, human rights, the rule of law and the equality of men and women.

SAC Kingston Now Online
Sexual Assault Centre Kingston provides support services and programs to women who have experienced sexualized violence in the Kingston area. The new website will support survivors, educate, and work toward prevention of all forms of sexualized violence.

Oakville Newcomer Info Centre Open
The Oakville Centre for Education and Training officially opened the Newcomer Information and Language Assessment Centre in March. The walk-in centre offers free information and assistance with no eligibility restrictions, along with extended hours.

Vulnerable Victims and Family Fund Announced
The Vulnerable Victims and Family Fund will provide financial and court-based supports for both victims of crime and families of homicide victims. This will include some assistance with travel costs, interpretation services and more.

ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge
ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge is a 3 week campaign to get high school teens to volunteer in their community. Volunteer hours will count toward the community involvement hours teens need to graduate high school in Ontario.
