OHIP Rules Changed for Foreign Workers
Starting today, anyone in Ontario on open work permits, along with their spouses and dependants can now receive OHIP as long as they are employed full time in Ontario for a minimum of six months and have lived here for at least 153 days.

Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) Reports on Progress Since Inquiry into Assaults against Asian Canadian Anglers
The report highlights progress made in response to reports of harassment and assaults against Asian Canadian anglers and also identifies areas for improvement. OHRC calls for communities to continue working on and responding to incidents of racism.

Community Reference Group Critical of Government response to attacks on Asian Canadian Anglers
This report card is released in response to the Ontario OHRC inquiry into the attacks. In some cases, there was a failure to understand racial discrimination associated with the assaults, as well as in community or organizational response to them.

CCR Campaign: Hidden Costs (transportation loans for refugees)
Refugees resettled to Canada must pay for their medical exam and their travel to Canada. Most refugees can't afford these expenses, so Canada offers them a loan. As a result, many refugee families start their new life in Canada with new debt.
