Received from @KrisFYN:

The new Chair of FLO (Future Leaders of Ontario), Sylvia Martignani, will be a valuable resource. sylvia.martignani@servicecanada.gc.ca as she has planned several events.

As will the Chair of the TPN (Toronto Professionals Network), Marg (Margaret) Szots,
mszots@toronto.ca (General inbox is tpn@toronto.ca).

EVENT SPACES
We've used two great event spaces (but they were both on a second floor with no elevator) 1) Fuzion Resto-Lounge and Garden - 580 Church Street, Toronto, ON, M4Y 2E8 www.fuzionexperience.com - They provided a private lounge (with bar) and a dining area, a full dinner all for $20/pp. I'm sure you could arrange what you need.

2) Trapeze Lounge,1330 Yonge St (North of Eglinton Ave) - Great event space with bar. We used this space in the Fall of 2008 so I would check to see if it still exists.

A good online tool is: http://www.eventsource.ca/venues.aspx. If you see any of interest, contact me first as I have been to (or know of) at least half of them as I will have an idea of the price and TTC (transit) accesibility.

RESTAURANTS (We've used)
Cafe Mirage
They accepted a large group of us - approx.50 and arranged a buffet dinner for $20/pp.
Located in the Sheppard Centre on the Yonge subway line - you don't even have to go outside! No issue with accessiblility either. The only downside was that it wasn't a 'private' space, just part of a restaurant.

FED GOV ROOMS
1) Canada Revenue Agency (a federal gov't employee - preferably someone at 1 Front St - will be required to book this) They have a room which can accommodate 100 ppl. (To my knowledge this is one of two of the biggest Federal location in Toronto.)
1 Front Street West, Toronto ON. For reservations e-mail the Training Centre at: TrainingCentre.TorontoCentre@cra-arc.gc.com,

2) The other largest room is the 3rd Floor Auditorium at 4900 Yonge (just North of Sheppard - easy access to subway and this building is accessible) (Again, an internal contact is required but there are numerous departments in this building.)

MUNICIPAL GOVT ROOMS
1) City Hall - I would partner with the TPN (Toronto Professionals Network) These are municipal employees.
2) North York Civic Centre (Mel Lastman Square and considered the second city hall. I'm certain they have spaces here and it is right on the subway line. Again, an internal contact would spare you the cost of renting.

PLEASE SEND ME A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR WTPTO GROUP (WHY, WHO) SO THAT I MAY INTRODUCE YOU AND THE NETWORK TO SYLVIA AND MARG.

Another important Toronto group is TOPS (Provincial) - Jodi knows one of their leads (Through IPAC, I believe) - her name is Ekta Khullar <ektak6@yahoo.com>
