Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Ontario Region Reports
Language barriers have been identified as impediments to service delivery to newcomers, affecting the effective and efficient utilization of services in Ontario. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), Ontario Region has been working to improve interpretation in the delivery of settlement services.
To this end, CIC undertook two studies:
|A Study of the Need for Language Interpretation and Translation Services (LITS) in the Delivery of Immigrant Settlement Programs_Final Report_2009|
We hope that you and your organization can draw upon these studies and the information contained therein to help you to develop and implement interpretation services and other programs and services that address language barriers.
