Job Search Workshops (JSW) is a program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Through three or four day workshops, JSW offers newcomers job search tools that will help them succeed in the Canadian job market.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, a newcomer must:

  • be a permanent resident of Canada, landed immigrant, live-in caregiver on convention refugee
  • be able to communicate in the English language
  • be able to attend a 3 or 4 day, full time, training program.
Canadian citizens, visitors or refugee claimants are NOT eligible for the JSW Program.

The JSW website has information about the program for participants and a staff area for facilitators. It also provides a search tool to find agencies providing the JSW program, including those that deliver the program in French.
